The Foundation was established in 2003 from Marcus and his family’s desire to give back to the greater Tacoma and Seattle communities which supported him throughout his football career.  Since its beginning, the Foundation has steadily increased its yearly charitable contributions through funds raised at various community based events.
The Trufant Family Foundation’s mission is to assist in making dreams come true for disadvantaged youth and their families, by supporting community programs, such as the Boys and Girls Clubs, Communities in Schools and The Salvation Army. Our vision and purpose is to be an example of service to others by giving of our time, resources, knowledge and love for the betterment of children, adults, families and the community. We strive to make a difference in someone's life one person at a time and to share his or her success stories with others as a true example that all things are possible, and can be achieved, to those who believe.

• Marcus Trufant Inspirational Scholarship Program This scholarship is awarded to high school students who have met the scholarship criteria of the Foundation and their high school along with their acceptance to a two or four year college.  The goal is to expand this scholarship opportunity each year to more students and increase the scholarship award amount.
  
  
• Renewal Scholarship Program
  Students who have received scholarships through the Marcus Trufant Inspirational Scholarship program can apply for additional scholarships each year they continue to attend school and make satisfactory progress towards graduation.
  
  
• Section 23 Suite Life Program
  Opportunity for high school, middle school and elementary students to experience the Suite Life by watching a high school football game, a soccer game, or a professional soccer game or other sporting event in the Trufant Family Foundation Suite at Century Link Field complete with food and drinks.
  
  
• Donation program
  We make donations of Trufant Memorabilia to specific organizations that have collaborated with the Trufant Family Foundation for their fundraising activities.  We also have a program where we auction off a “Suite Experience” which includes tickets for the suite at Century Link Field to a Seahawk Football game and much more!   The Trufant Family Foundation receives 50% of the reserve bid or actual bid to help raise money for the foundation and the hosting organization receives 50%.
  
  
• Sponsor a Child to Camp Program
  We provide sponsorship for youth to specific camps we have collaborated with.  We have provided camp experience for youth to attend the Marcus Trufant Football Camp, Seahawks Quarterback Camp and the Junior Sea Gal Training Camp, Sickle Cell Camp and other community football and summer camps to help give underprivileged youth new opportunities and experiences.
  
  
• Tru-Fitness For Life Program
  This program includes members who want to truly be fit, lose weight, eat healthy, and share their success and opportunities for improvement to motivate and help others in the program.  The membership fee is $100 a year and will support the Tru-Fitness Program and help send kids to summer camps, college and provide scholarships for internships that will help keep students in college. Membership will allow access to most  Tru-Fitness events, monthly /bimonthly drawings and door prizes  to celebrate our success plus more!
